Rouge is a type of cosmetic powder used to add color to skin. The powder is usually applied to cheeks as an extra layer of blush, but it can easily end up on clothes if not applied carefully. If you have a garment made of delicate fabrics such as chiffon or lace, the rouge can be particularly difficult to remove. Don't worry though, with this simple guide you'll have your clothes looking good as new in no time!

What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Laundry detergent
  • Soft cloth

Steps to Cleaning Rouge Stains from Chantilly Lace

  1. Apply white vinegar to the stained area. This should help loosen the rouge so that it can be removed easily.
  2. Gently work the laundry detergent into the stained area using a soft cloth.
  3. Rinse the fabric in cool water and gently dab or blot the area to remove any remaining residue.
  4. Allow fabric to air dry. Once dry, inspect the area to ensure the stain has been removed.

Tips

  • If the stain persists after attempting the above steps, try repeating the process before washing the garment.
  • Test cleaning products on a small area of the fabric before applying to the stained area.
