Steps to Removing Rouge Stains

  1. Create a mixture of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts warm water.
  2. Take a soft, white cloth and dampen with the solution.
  3. Gently blot at the stain (do not rub) until the stain has begun to lift.
  4. If the stain is still present, apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly to area.
  5. Blot the area with a damp cloth, then rinse with clean water.
  6. Once the stain is gone and the fabric is dry, you may wish to apply fabric stain remover for extra protection.

Additional Tips

  • If colorfastness is an issue, test fabric in an inconspicuous area first.
  • Retest any product used on the fabric before attempting to remove the stain.
  • Treat stains as quickly as possible.
  • For tougher stains, consider consulting a professional dry cleaner.
  • If the item is machine washable, consider washing after removing the stain.
