It’s summertime and that means it’s time to hit the beach. But what happens when a little rouge accidentally gets onto your bikini while you’re getting ready? Even worse, how do you remove such a stubborn stain without ruining your favorite swimsuit?
The best way to remove rouge stains from your bikini is to hand-wash the fabric with a mild detergent. Start by filling a sink or bucket with warm water, then add a few drops of gentle detergent. Once the detergent is fully dissolved, submerge the bikini in suds and allow it to soak for up to 10 minutes. Afterward, rub the stained areas with your fingers for a few minutes before rinsing out detergent with cold water. Then, hang the bikini out to dry.
If the rouge stain is particularly stubborn, you may need to use a specialized stain remover. Be sure to double check the product label first to ensure it’s compatible with the fabric of your bikini. Next, apply solution directly to the stained area, then let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing it with a soft cloth. Finally, wash the fabric normally following the care instructions on label.
Baking soda can also be used to remove rouge stains from your bikini. To start, mix one tablespoon of baking soda with a small amount of water to create a thick paste. Spread the paste over the stained area and let it sit for about 15 minutes before scrubbing lightly with a damp cloth. Once the stain is gone, rinse the bikini with cold water and hang it up to dry.
Accidentally getting rouge on your bikini can be a hassle, but with these three simple methods, you can easily remove the stain and get your swimwear looking good as new. Just remember to always follow the care instructions on the label of your bikini, and never put your swimsuit in the washing machine.
