How to Get Out Rouge Stains from Battenberg Lace
If you have a beautiful Battenberg lace tablecloth or curtains that have fallen victim to a rouge stain, don't worry! You can get the stain out without ruining your delicate fabrics.

What You'll Need
- Woolite gentle detergent
- cool water
- White vinegar
- Soft cloth or sponge
- Hydrogen peroxide (3%)
Steps to Clean the Stain
- Dampen the stained area with cool water. Don’t use hot water as it can set the dye in the fabric.
- Apply a small amount of Woolite detergent directly to stain.
- Rub the stained area gently with a soft cloth or sponge in a circular motion.
- Rinse the area with cool water to remove all the detergent.
- To lighten the stain, mix 1 tsp. of white vinegar with 2 cups of cool water.
- Soak stained area with the vinegar solution for 5 minutes. Do not scrub or rub the stain.
- Rinse the area with cool water to remove all the vinegar.
- If the stain persists, mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide (3%) with 10 parts cool water and soak the stained area in the solution for 10 minutes. Do not scrub or rub.
- Rinse the area with cool water to remove all the hydrogen peroxide.
- Lay the fabric flat to dry.
Tips
- If the stain persists, repeat steps 3-9 until the stain is gone.
- Do not use bleach to remove the stain as it could damage the fabric.
- Test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of the fabric before applying it to stain.
