What You'll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • A cloth
  • Mild detergent

Instructions:

  1. Mix one part white vinegar with two parts baking soda in a bowl to make a paste.
  2. Use a cloth to apply the paste onto the stained portion of the backpack.
  3. Gently scrub the area for about two minutes, then rinse the paste away with lukewarm water.
  4. Put a mild detergent onto a damp cloth and use that to scrub the area again.
  5. Rinse the backpack again with lukewarm water and gently dab the area with a dry cloth to remove any moisture.
  6. Allow the area to air-dry completely before using your backpack again.

Tips:

  • Choose a mild detergent with no bleach if possible.
  • Vinegar is naturally acidic, so be sure to rinse off any residue left behind by the paste.
  • If the stain persists after trying this method, repeat the steps or try a spot cleaner designed specifically for backpacks.
