Soak the stained fabric in cold water as soon as possible. This will help to stop the stain from setting in and make it easier to remove. Allow the garment to sit in the cold water for 15 to 20 minutes.
Rouge can be difficult to remove, but oxygen-based bleaches or color-safe bleaches work best to tackle tough stains. Dilute the bleach according to the directions on the package and then apply it to stained area. Leave it to soak for 15 minutes.
Once you have applied the oxygen-based bleach or color-safe bleach, you can then put the garment in the washing machine. Select a cycle appropriate for the fabric, and use hot water. Hot water is best for getting rid of stubborn stains.
Once the garment has washed, do not place it in the dryer. Instead, hang it up to air-dry. This will prevent any further damage and make sure that the stain is completely removed.
