What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Cold water
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Microfiber cloth

Step 1: Soak the Stain in White Vinegar

Mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water and soak the stained part of the garment in it for 10-20 minutes. The vinegar will help to breakdown the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 2: Rinse and Repeat

Rinse the stained fabric with cold water until all traces of the vinegar are gone. Repeat the previous step if necessary.

Step 3: Treat with Liquid Soap

Apply a few drops of liquid dish soap onto a microfiber cloth and use it to gently rub the stain. This will help to further break down the stain and lift out any remaining pigment.

Step 4: Wash and Dry

Once stain is removed, wash garment according to the care instructions. For heavier stains, or if you did not remove the stain completely the first time, repeat Steps 1-4 before washing and drying.
