Easy and Proven Methods to Get Red Wine Stains Out of Your Wedges

Method 1: Dishwashing Liquid

Mix a few drops of detergent dishwashing liquid in lukewarm water. Soak wedges in the solution for half an hour and then gently scrub them with a soft damp cloth. Rinse in cold water and let dry.

Method 2: Cornstarch

Cover the stained area with cornstarch and let it sit until the stain absorbs into the cornstarch. Gently brush off the cornstarch and the stain will disappear.

Method 3: White Vinegar

Mix a bit of white vinegar with lukewarm water. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and apply it onto the stained area. Scrub the area gently and rinse with cold water.

Method 4: Rubbing Alcohol

Soak a cotton ball or soft cloth in rubbing alcohol. Dab stained area and gently rub to remove the stain. Rinse with cold water and air dry.

Method 5: Baking Soda

Mix baking soda and water to make a paste. Spread the paste over the stained area. Let it sit for a few hours then rinse off with cold water.

Additional Tips

  • If the stain is stubborn, use a small amount of mild laundry detergent. Rub the stained area in circular motion, rinse and air dry.
  • Always test the cleaning method on an inconspicuous area first to check the compatibility with the material.
