What You’ll Need
- An old or disposable toothbrush
- Mild soap
- Lemon juice
- Vinegar
- A soft cloth
Directions
- Before beginning any cleaning attempts, ensure that the watch is not waterproof. If it is, do not continue as cleaning a waterproof watch could damage the seals and ruin the mechanism.
- Stir together a mild soap and warm water to create a sudsy solution. Dip your toothbrush into the mixture and use it to gently scrub away at the red wine stain on your watch until it has been removed.
- If any of the stain persists after the previous step, try wiping it with a soft cloth dipped in lemon juice. Allow the lemon juice to remain on the stain for a few minutes before rinsing it off with a damp cloth.
- As a final attempt, dilute some vinegar with water, then use a soft cloth to wipe down the stained area. This should remove remaining traces of the red wine.
- Afterwards, rinse watch once more using a damp cloth and allow it to air dry.
Conclusion
By following the simple steps outlined above, you should be able to easily clean red wine stains off of your watch. Be sure to avoid using abrasive materials such as steel wool, as they can cause damage to the surface of watch.
