One of the quickest and easiest ways to get red wine out of clothing is to sprinkle salt over the affected area. The salt will help to absorb the wine, so leave it for 10 minutes or so before brushing or scrubbing it away. If the stain persists, move onto another cleaning method.
A combination of vinegar and detergent is a great way to get that red wine out of fabric. Start by adding two tablespoons of white vinegar to a cup of lukewarm water. Then, add a teaspoon of mild laundry detergent and stir until mixed thoroughly. Place the clothing into mixture and let it soak for up to 30 minutes. Once it’s done, rinse and wash as usual.
Create a paste by mixing equal parts baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Then, rub the paste over the stain and leave it for 10 minutes. After this, rinse the clothing and wash as normal.
Pour alcohol or dishwashing detergent directly onto the stain and rub it in. Let the item sit for 15 minutes, then rinse and wash it as normal. Make sure to check the stain has been completely removed before drying.
