When a red wine stain happens, it’s important to act quickly and try to remove it as soon as possible. The longer the stain remains on the surface of the UGGs, more difficult it will be to remove. If you can, prepare cleaning materials as soon as you can, that way you don’t waste any time.
When trying to remove a red wine stain, it’s important that you don’t rub or scrub the stain. Unfortunately, this will only cause the stain to spread further and further. Instead, pat and blot the stain with a cloth. This will help to absorb the excess wine and stop it from spreading, allowing you to focus all your cleaning efforts on the main area of stain.
One of best ways to remove red wine stains from UGGs is to create a paste. You’ll need powdered laundry detergent, baking soda and cold water. Mix together two parts laundry detergent, one part baking soda and just enough cold water to mix into a thick paste. Use a spoon to mix together until evenly combined.
Carefully apply the paste directly onto red wine stain and gently press it in. Leave it to sit for at least 10 minutes before brushing the paste off with a soft brush. Make sure you check that stain has been lifted before continuing.
After the paste has been removed, the affected areas should be washed in cold water. You may need to repeat the above steps several times in order to completely remove the stain. Once you’ve finished, leave to air dry and check again to make sure the stain has been removed.
