As soon as you notice a red wine stain, use a soft cloth to blot spot. Rubbing the stain vigorously may push the wine deeper into fabric and make it harder to remove later.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water in a bowl. You should have enough solution to cover stained area and a few inches around it.
Soak the stained area with the vinegar and water solution for about 30 minutes. This will help loosen the red wine particles from fabric.
After soaking, pour a few drops of dishwashing liquid onto the stain. Use a soft cloth to gently rub the soapy mixture into the fabric. Work in circles as you rub, taking care not to spread the stain further.
Rinse the area with cold water until all traces of the soap solution are gone. Use a clean cloth to help the process along.
If the stain is still visible, you can try sprinkling baking soda onto the affected area. Leave the baking soda to sit for five minutes before brushing it away with a soft brush or cloth.
Once all traces of the stain have been removed, let your Skechers air dry in a well-ventilated area. Do not use a hair dryer or put them in a dryer, as this could cause the fabric to shrink or become discolored.
Removing red wine stains from Skechers doesn't have to be difficult. With right materials and following the steps above, you can easily remove stains and keep your shoes looking their best.
