Using Jell-O

If red wine stain is still wet, start by blotting up as much excess wine as possible with a dry cloth. Then, create a paste by mixing dry Jell-O powder with equal parts cool water. Spread mixture directly onto the stain, let it sit for about 20 minutes, then wipe away the stain with a damp cloth.

Using Detergent and Vinegar

If the red wine stain has been sitting for a while, you can use detergent and vinegar. Start by blotting up any excess liquid. Then mix 1 teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent, 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar, and two cups of warm water in a bowl. Soak a cloth with the solution, and use it to rub the stain gently. Rinse the cloth, squeeze out the excess water, and repeat the process until the stain fades.

Using Ammonia

To remove difficult red wine stains, use a mixture of ammonia and water. Mix 1 tablespoon of ammonia with 1/2 cup of warm water, and pour the mixture directly onto stain. Let the solution sit for about 30 minutes, then blot the stain with a clean cloth.

Using Baking Soda

For stubborn red wine stains, try baking soda. Make a paste by combining equal parts baking soda and water. Spread the paste directly onto stain, and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Blot the stain with a clean cloth, and repeat the process until the stain dissolves.
