Before starting stain removal process, it's important to gather all of necessary supplies. You'll need white vinegar, liquid dish soap, cold water, and salt. Once you have all of these items, you're ready to begin!
Using a clean white cloth, gently blot area of the lace that has the red wine stain. Do not rub the stain, as this could spread stain further and cause additional damage to the fabric. Blot until the majority of liquid has been absorbed.
In a clean bowl, mix together two cups of cold water, one tablespoon of white vinegar, one tablespoon of liquid dish soap, and one teaspoon of salt. Stir until the mixture forms a thick paste. This cleansing solution can be used to remove the red wine stain.
Using a clean white cloth, apply the paste to stained area of Rosepoint lace. When applying the paste, use gentle, circular motions to ensure the solution is working its way into the fibers of fabric. Once the area has been thoroughly covered, let the paste sit for 15 minutes.
Once the area has been left to sit for 15 minutes, use lukewarm water to rinse away paste. Make sure to rinse thoroughly, until all traces of the paste are gone. This will help to ensure the stain is removed.
After rinsing, it's important to allow the Rosepoint lace to air dry. Do not use a drying machine or hang in direct sunlight, as this could cause additional damage to the fabric.
