Mix together some detergent and warm water in a sink or container. Submerge your rashguard in the mixture, let it soak for 15 minutes, then rub the stained area gently with your fingers to get rid of the wine stain.
Apply some dishwashing liquid directly on the stain and rub it in gently into the fabric until it forms a thick lather. Let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse off the suds with cold water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
White wine will help lift away the stain. Pour a generous amount over the spot and let it soak in for 5 minutes. Then, rinse the spot with cool water and blot with a soft cloth.
Create a paste using baking soda and a bit of water. Rub the paste into the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then, rinse off with cold water and lay flat to dry.
Mix together a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide, a teaspoon of white vinegar and two teaspoons of water. Dab the mixture onto the stain, let it sit for 10 minutes and then rinse off with cold water. Lay flat to dry.
Sprinkle some salt directly onto the stain and leave it to absorb any excess liquid for several hours. Brush off the salt with a soft cloth and rinse the area with cold water.
Stains can be a real nuisance but that doesn't mean that you have to throw away your rashguard! With the right approach and some common household items, you can find a way to remove the red wine stains and restore your rashguard to its former glory.
