Things You'll Need
- White towels or cloths
- Dishwashing liquid
- White vinegar
- Cold water
Instructions
- The first step is to absorb any excess liquid from the stain using a white towel or cloth. Do not rub, as this will only spread the stain further and make matters worse.
- Mix up a solution of dishwashing liquid and cold water. Then use a white cloth or towel to dab the solution onto stain, taking care not to rub the stain and cause it to spread.
- If the stain remains after this step, mix up a solution of equal parts white vinegar and cold water. Apply the mixture onto the stain and then rinse with cold water. Repeat until the stain has been removed.
- Finish by blottng the area dry with a white towel.
Tips
- Always blot the stain gently and never rub it.
- Act fast! The sooner you can treat the stain, the more chance you have of success.
- Be sure to use only white towels and cloths, which won’t transfer additional colour onto the fabric.
