Take a clean, white cloth and blot up as much of the spilled liquid as possible. Repeat this process until no more liquid can be removed.
Mix two parts baking soda with one part white vinegar. Apply the solution to stain and let sit for about 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
Once again, take your white cloth and soak it in rubbing alcohol, then dab over the stain. Repeat this process until the stain is gone.
If the stain persists, try using a rug cleaner designed specifically for removing stains. Be sure to read the label and follow the instructions carefully.
If all else fails, you may need to have item professionally cleaned. For items made of piqué, look for a dry cleaner that specializes in delicate fabrics.
With a few easy steps, you can have your red wine stained piqué looking good as new in no time. Just remember to act fast, use the right products and techniques, and you'll be set!
