What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Laundry detergent
  • Bowl
  • Sponge

Removing the Stain

  1. Mix equal parts white vinegar and laundry detergent in a bowl.
  2. Soak the stained part of the pencil skirt in the mixture for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove the skirt and dab stain with a damp sponge.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 until the stain has been completely removed.
  5. Once the stain has been fully removed, launder the garment as normal.

To prevent future red wine stains, remember to always handle your drinks with care. If possible, avoid wearing silk or delicate fabrics around red wine. Additionally, blot away any spills as soon as possible to minimize the chance of a lasting stain.
