Step 1: Blot the Stain

Grab a paper towel or cloth and gently blot the area surrounding the stain. Avoid rubbing the stain as this may spread it further.

Step 2: Apply Salt

Sprinkle a generous layer of salt onto stain (or mix the salt with water to create a paste-like mixture). The salt should absorb any additional liquid, lifting the red wine stain from your Oxfords.

Step 3: Wipe Away the Salt

Once the stain has been removed by the salt, use a damp cloth or paper towel to wipe away any remaining salt.

Step 4: Use Detergent

Mix a few drops of a mild detergent with lukewarm water and apply to the area that was stained. Allow soap/water mixture to sit for a few minutes before blotting it away with a cloth.

Step 5: Dry and Buff

Let your Oxfords air dry completely before buffing them with a soft cloth. This will help the leather soften and restore shoes' original shine.
