The most important thing when cleaning red wine stains on organza is blotting stain as soon as it happens. Make sure to use a dry and white cloth or a piece of paper towel, as colored fabrics may leave color stains on your organza fabric. Blot the stain in the center and work your way outward, continuing to press firmly and blot area until there is no more liquid coming out.
Once you’ve blotted the area, you can then soak the fabric in cold water for at least 10 minutes. This will help loosen the stain, making it easier to get rid of in later steps.
Once your fabric has soaked for at least 10 minutes, you can then apply a spot cleaner to the stain. Make sure to follow the directions on the bottle and do a spot test before applying it to the organza fabric.
Once the spot cleaner has been applied and worked into fabric, you can then wash the organza fabric according to the directions on the care label. Make sure to use only cold water and a mild detergent.
Once the fabric has been washed, you can then dry the fabric with a cloth towel. You can also hang the organza fabric up in a shaded area and let it air dry. Do not dry clean or put the fabric in the dryer.
Once the fabric is dry, make sure to check for any remaining stains. If there is still a stain present, you can then repeat Steps 3 through 6 in order to try and remove the stain.
Cleaning red wine stains off of organza fabric can be a tricky process, but following these steps can help you quickly and safely remove the stain. Make sure to always check the care instructions on the tag before washing the fabric.
