Step 1: Soak the Stain Immediately

The first step is crucial because it's important to soak up as much of the red wine as possible before it has a chance to set in. If the stain is still wet, use a soft cloth or paper towel to gently dab liquid away. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the stain as this is likely to only spread it further.

Step 2: Create a DIY Cleaning Solution

Once you've soaked up as much of liquid as you can, make your own cleaning solution. This should be made up of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Mix these together in a bowl, then apply the solution to stain using a cloth or an old toothbrush. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse the Stain Away

Once the stain has been soaking in the solution, rinse it away with cold water. Use a soft cloth to rub the area gently and help remove any stubborn bits of stain. If the stain remains, repeat Steps 2 and 3 as needed.

Step 4: Wash Muslin Fabric

When stain has been completely removed, it's time to wash the fabric. Make sure to read the care instructions before washing. You can either hand wash or machine wash the fabric, depending on the instructions, and choose a gentle detergent. Avoid using hot water, as this can set the stain.

Step 5: Dry the Fabric

Once the fabric is washed, leave it out to air dry. Avoid using a dryer, as this can also set stain.
