Removing Red Wine Stains from Mules: A Quick and Easy Guide

Step 1: Blot the Stain
Using a clean cloth or paper towel, gently blot and absorb up as much of the red wine as possible. Don’t rub the affected area since this could spread the stain!
Step 2: Rinse with Water
Mix one cup of cold water with a tablespoon of white vinegar and use a clean cloth to dab this solution onto the stain. Again, do not rub stain. Let the solution sit for 10 minutes, then rinse the area with warm water.
Step 3: Treat the Stain with Detergent
If stain is still visible, make a paste using two tablespoons of detergent and two tablespoons of warm water. Using a clean cloth, apply the paste to the stain in a gentle circular motion. Leave the paste on the stain for 20 minutes and then rinse away.
Step 4: Apply Rubbing Alcohol
If the stain is still visible after treatment with detergent, try treating it with rubbing alcohol. Saturate a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol and apply it to the stain. Let it sit for 5 minutes before wiping away. If the stain persists, repeat this process several times.
