As soon as possible after spill, rinse the joggers in cold water. This can help prevent the stain from setting into the fabric. After rinsing, soak the joggers in cold water with a bit of mild laundry detergent or dish soap. Let them sit for several hours.
Mix baking soda with a bit of laundry detergent to create a thick paste. Apply paste directly to the stain and let it sit for at least fifteen minutes. After letting it sit, gently scrub the paste off and rinse with cold water.
If the stain persists, try applying white vinegar directly to it and blotting with a rag or paper towel. After blotting for several minutes, rinse joggers with cold water and let air dry.
Once the stain has been removed, launder the joggers according to the care instructions. To make sure all traces of the stain have been removed, consider using an enzyme-based laundry detergent. This can help break down the proteins that are causing the stain.
With these helpful tips, you can quickly and easily get rid of any red wine stains on your joggers. Be sure to follow care instructions on the joggers and act quickly to prevent the stain from setting into the fabric.
