One of best solutions to get rid of red wine stains from jeans is by using detergent. Start by removing any excess wine from the stained area as soon as you can. Next, moisten area with cold water and dab a little bit of detergent into the stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before washing the jeans in either cold or lukewarm water.
You can also mix one teaspoon of salt and one tablespoon of white vinegar in two cups of water. Use a cloth or sponge to apply the solution onto the affected area. Once done, rinse off with cold water. You can repeat this process until the stain has been completely removed.
Another great way to remove red wine stains from jeans is to use lemon juice. Combine a few tablespoons of lemon juice with an equal amount of water. Make sure that the solution is enough to cover the entire stain area. Using a sponge, apply the mixture onto the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes. Afterwards, rinse it off with cold water.
Baking soda can also be used to get rid of red wine stains from jeans. All you need to do is to combine a few tablespoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of water to create a paste. Rub solution into the stain area and let it sit for at least an hour. When done, rinse off with cold water and then wash the jeans as usual.
