Instructions for Getting Red Wine Out of Hanbok

  1. If the stain is still wet, gently blot the excess liquid with a paper towel or white absorbent cloth.
  2. Create a cleaning solution by combining detergent, white vinegar, and water. It should be a ratio of 1 tablespoon of detergent to 2 tablespoons of white vinegar mixed with 4 cups of cool water.
  3. Use a sponge or white cloth to apply the cleaning solution directly to the stain. Gently rub stain to help loosen discoloration.
  4. Rinse the affected area with cold water, changing the water several times.
  5. To remove any remaining odor, mix baking soda and cold water. Apply the solution with a scrubbing brush or soft cloth and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  6. Wash Hanbok as usual, following care instructions.
