Steps to Remove Red Wine Stains from Duchesse Lace

  1. Act fast! As soon as you notice a spill, blot it up with a cloth or paper towel. Do not scrub as this can only cause further damage to the lace.
  2. Mix a solution of water and laundry detergent in a bowl and stir until it forms into a paste-like consistency.
  3. Gently apply the solution to the stained area using a soft scrub brush and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Rinse the affected area with cold water and blot dry with a clean cloth.
  5. Once dry, inspect the area to make sure the stain has been completely removed.

Additional Tips for Dealing with Red Wine Stains

  • If the stain does not come out first time, repeat steps 2-4 until it has been completely removed.
  • Be sure to test the cleaning solution on a tiny area of fabric first to make sure it won't cause any discoloration.
  • Always hand wash Duchesse lace in cold water to avoid shrinking, fading, and other damage.
