Step 1: Blot the Stain

The first step is to blot the stain with a paper towel or a clean cloth. Do not rub the stain as this will spread it further.

Step 2: Dilute the Stain

Mix equal parts cold water and white vinegar in a bowl and pour it over the stained area. This will help dilute the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Apply Detergent

Mix a few drops of liquid detergent or spot cleaner into the water and vinegar mixture and apply it to the stained area. Use a soft-bristle brush or old toothbrush to gently scrub area as you apply the solution.

Step 4: Rinse the Stain

Once the stain is removed, rinse area with cold water and blot with a clean cloth or paper towel. Do not rub the area as this could cause the stain to re-appear.

Step 5: Deodorize Area

To deodorize the area, sprinkle baking soda over the affected area and allow it to sit for 30 minutes. Vacuum up the baking soda and odor should be gone.

Step 6: Dry the Area

Finally, use a clean cloth or paper towel to dry the area. Allow the area to air dry completely before using it again.
