Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using clean paper towels or a soft cloth, blot the stain gently. Do not rub the stain or else it might spread further. Also, ensure that you start from the edges of stain so that it does not spread any further.

Step 2: Rinse Fabric

Fill a bowl with cold water and add a few drops of mild detergent to it. Put the fabric in the water and let it soak for a few minutes. After a few minutes, take fabric out and rinse it thoroughly. Make sure the detergent is completely washed away.

Step 3: Apply Vinegar Solution

Mix one part white vinegar and two parts warm water in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth into this solution and dab the stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes before blotting it thoroughly with a towel or a clean cloth.

Step 4: Wash Fabric

Once the stain has been removed, put the fabric in the washing machine and set the cycle to gentle or delicate. Add a few drops of a mild detergent to ensure that fabric is properly cleaned. Hang the fabric outside to dry, preferably in the sun for best results.
