Stains are best tackled when they are fresh, so act quickly and grab a paper towel or clean cloth. Dip it in cold tap water and gently blot the stain. Don’t rub or scrub at the stain; this will only spread it further.
Using a cotton swab, apply rubbing alcohol directly to the stain. Rubbing alcohol is a powerful and effective solvent that will help to break down and lift the stain from the fabric. Leave for 15 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
Create a paste using baking soda and cold water. Gently rub the paste into the stained area using a toothbrush. Rinse area with cold water afterwards.
Place your cargo pants in the washing machine and set it on a gentle cycle. Add a scoop of a detergent that is specifically made for tough stains, such as OxiClean or Persil. Soak your cargo pants overnight and then thoroughly rinse them in cold water.
Soak a soft cloth with white vinegar and dab at the stain until it is completely saturated. Leave the fabric in the vinegar solution for up to 10 minutes and then rinse it with cold water.
Spray the stain with a laundry pre-treatment such as Shout or Spray ‘n Wash. Let the product sit on the stain for 10 minutes and then launder your cargo pants as usual.
Do not place your cargo pants in dryer; this heats fabric up and will cause the stain to set in permanently. Instead, hang cargo pants to air dry.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
