Before you start tackling the stain, make sure to gather all your supplies. You will need: a laundry detergent; a few clean rags; a cup of white wine vinegar; cold water; hydrogen peroxide (if the fabric is colorfast); and a laundry brush.
Once you’ve spilled red wine on your fabric, the first step is to blot up as much of the excess liquid as possible. Don’t rub stain, as this can spread it further - instead, absorb the liquid with a clean rag or paper towel.
In a separate bowl, mix together one tablespoon of laundry detergent with one cup of cold water and one-half cup of white wine vinegar. Make sure the solution is sudsy before applying it to the stain.
Using a clean rag, dab the solution onto the stained area. Allow the solution to sit on fabric for at least fifteen minutes.
After fifteen minutes, take a clean rag and blot the area with cold water. This step will help to break down stain and push it out of the fabric.
For particularly stubborn stains, try applying a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and cold water to affected area. Allow this solution to sit on the fabric for fifteen minutes, then rinse off with cold water.
Once you’ve removed the stain, it’s time to launder the fabric as usual. You can add a few drops of laundry detergent to the wash water, if desired. Allow the fabric to air dry.
Cleaning a red wine stain from your Calvin Klein fabrics doesn’t have to be difficult. With a few simple supplies and the right steps, you can easily remove stain and get your clothing looking like new!
