The first step to removing a red wine stain from briefs is to blot the affected area with a dry cloth. This step is essential for removing any excess liquid that has seeped into the fabric. Once the excess liquid has been removed, rinse the area with cold water to prevent the stain from setting in.
Once the area has been blotted and rinsed, gently apply a mild detergent or a specialty stain remover to the affected area and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the area again with cold water.
If the stain persists after first attempt, repeat steps 1 and 2 until stain is removed. If stain does not come out after two attempts, it may be necessary to use a stronger detergent or a specialized stain removal product.
After the stain has been removed, hang the briefs up to completely dry. It is important to ensure that the briefs are completely dry before wearing them again, as any remaining moisture can lead to further staining.
