berry Red wine is a delicious beverage perfect for all occasions. But when it lands on an apron, especially a white one, it can be a huge disaster. If not taken care of quickly, red wine stains can leave a permanent mark that makes your favorite apron look unsightly. The first step to cleaning a red wine stain is to act ASAP. This is especially important when it comes to white fabrics, since they are more prone to stains. The sooner you start the cleaning process, the better chance of success. When dealing with a red wine stain, you need to start by blotting the area lightly with a damp cloth. Don't rub or scrub the area, as this will only make the stain worse. Instead, use a blotting motion to absorb as much of the wine as possible. Once the liquid is absorbed, you can continue with the cleaning process. Next, create a cleaning solution by mixing together about 3 parts dishwashing liquid and 1 part cold water. You can even add a few drops of white vinegar for extra strength. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and then gently dab stained area with it until the stain begins to fade. As with the blotting process, avoid rubbing the fabric too much. If the stain persists, you can also opt to pre-treat it with a laundry detergent before washing apron in the washing machine. Or, you can apply some spot cleaner directly on the stain and leave it to sit for a few minutes before laundering. Finally, always remember to consult the cleaning instructions on the label of apron. If the material is made of special or delicate fabrics, you may need to seek professional cleaning services.
