Follow these steps when tackling red wine stains on your Alexander McQueen garments:

  • Blot stain with a clean, white cloth and do not rub the fabric.
  • Mix one teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with two cups of cold water. Dip a cloth into the solution and apply it to the stained area.
  • Cover the stained area with a paper towel, and then press an iron set at low heat onto the paper towel for a few seconds.
  • If necessary, repeat the process described in step 3 until the stain is gone.
  • Rinse the garment in cold water and allow it to dry.

It is important to remember that this cleaning process should only be done on delicate fabrics like silk and wool, as other fabrics may not respond well to heat. If the garment is labeled “dry clean only,” you should take it to the dry cleaner.

You should also avoid using bleach, as it could result in fading or discoloration. If you want to be extra careful, you can test the cleaning method on an inconspicuous area of the garment before attempting the stain removal.
