Preparation

Before attempting to clean pet stains from your windows, you need to prepare area. Start by wiping area with a damp cloth to remove any solids that may be clinging to the window. Be sure to use soft, lint-free cloths, as abrasive cleaning materials could scratch the glass. Once the area is wiped down, use a vacuum cleaner and attachment to remove any remaining particles and debris.

Cleaner Mixture

Now that you have prepped the area, mix together a small amount of dish soap and warm water in a bucket or bowl. Stir mixture until soap is completely dissolved. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture, then wring it out completely until it stops dripping. You don't want any soapy residue to remain on window once it's been cleaned.

Clean Window Surface

With your soapy cloth in hand, start scrubbing the stained area in small circles. Make sure that you aren't applying too much pressure or scrubbing too hard as this could damage the glass. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with warm water and wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth. Be sure to inspect the window for any remaining stains and repeat process if necessary.

Remove Odors

For extra protection against odors, mix 1/4 cup of white vinegar with 1 quart of warm water. Dip a cloth into the mixture and use it to wipe the area clean. The vinegar will neutralize any lingering odors. Finally, rinse the area with warm water one more time and dry it off with a clean cloth.
