What You Will Need to Clean Your Watch
- Sponge or soft cloth
- Mild soap or detergent
- Vinegar and water (1:1 ratio)
- Toothbrush
- Paper towels
Instructions
- Soak watch . In a cup or shallow bowl, mix together mild soap or detergent and warm water. Immerse the watch in the solution and allow it to soak for 10 minutes.
- Scrub the area . Remove watch from the soap solution. Using a sponge or soft cloth, scrub the stained area gently, making sure not to damage the watch. Rinse with water afterward.
- Try vinegar . If the stain is still there after the soap-and-water scrubdown, try vinegar and water. Mix vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio and use a soft cloth to dab at the stained area. Then rinse again with plain water.
- Use toothbrush . To get deeper crevices, use a toothbrush. Dip the brush into the vinegar-water solution and gently scrub affected area. Afterward, rinse again with plain water.
- Dry with paper towels . Gently pat the watch dry with paper towels. Do not use a regular towel as this could scratch the watch surface.
- Check your work . Make sure stain is gone. If it is still there, repeat steps 2 to 5.
