1. Blot the Area

The first and most important step is to blot stain as soon as it has happened. Use a dry absorbent cloth to dab the spot to remove as much of the liquid or solids as possible. Do not rub the area as it may spread the stain and make it worse.

2. Use Soap and Water

Mix a solution of cold water and liquid detergent to form a soapy mixture. Dip a clean cloth into it and blot the area gently in a circular motion. This should be done continuously until the stain has been completely removed.

3. Blot With White Vinegar

Fill a spray bottle with equal parts of white vinegar and cold water. Spray the area and let it sit for several minutes. Then, use a dry cloth to blot the area. This will help in removing any odors that may have been left behind.
