The first step to removing pet stains from a uniform is to remove as much of the mess as possible. Use white paper towels or a thick cloth to quickly blot up as much of the stain as you can. Be careful not to rub the stain in, as this will only make it harder to remove.
Once you have blotted out as much of the stain as possible, you should pre-treat your uniform with a specialized stain remover. If you do not have access to a commercial cleaner, you can make your own stain remover by mixing one part white vinegar with two parts warm water. Apply the solution to the stain and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
After you have pre-treated the stain, you should launder your uniform according to label’s instructions. If the stain is still visible, you can also add some oxygen bleach to wash. Check label on your uniform before using bleach, as some materials cannot withstand it.
If you are still having trouble removing pet stains from your uniform, you can try a combination of detergent and white vinegar. Mix equal parts of the two solutions together and apply to the stain. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes before washing again.
Once you have successfully removed the stain from your uniform, you should air dry it before wearing. Avoid putting the uniform in a dryer, as this can set stain and make it difficult to remove.
Removing pet stains from uniforms can be frustrating, but with a few steps, it can be done. Start by blotting out the stain, pre-treating it, laundering the uniform, and finally, air drying it. With a bit of patience and effort, you’ll have your uniform looking like new in no time!
