The sooner you spot clean pet stains, easier they will be to remove. Making sure you act quickly when you notice a stain will help prevent it from setting in and making it more difficult to get rid of.
Take a clean cloth or paper towels and blot the stain as soon as possible. Be gentle when you blot and do not rub, as this may cause the stain to spread further.
Next, you will need to use a cleaning solution. You can make your own at home using a combination of dish soap, white vinegar and warm water. Mix the solution together until it forms a foam and make sure to completely cover the stain. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes before you rinse it off.
Once you have allowed the cleaning solution to sit, rinse it off with cold water. This will help remove any residue the cleaning solution may have left behind. Make sure to rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary.
When you have finished rinsing the top, let it air dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid putting your top in dryer until you are sure stain is completely gone.
