The first step to getting rid of pet stains is to act quickly. Take a dry cloth or paper towels and blot the area of the tank top that has been stained. This will help to absorb some of the moisture and keep the stain from setting in.
After you have blotted the stain, you can pre-treat the tank top with a mild detergent. Rub a small amount of detergent into the stain, being sure to work it through the fabric. Let the detergent sit for about 10 minutes.
Once the detergent has had a chance to soak in, you can wash tank top in the washing machine. Be sure to use a gentle cycle and a mild detergent when you do this. If you want to be extra cautious, you can also add a few tablespoons of baking soda or white vinegar to the load to help remove any stubborn stains or odors.
When the tank top is finished washing, it's time to air dry it. Avoid using a dryer to dry the tank top, as the heat can cause the stain to set in permanently. Instead, hang the tank top in a well ventilated area, such as outside or on a drying rack. Once the tank top is completely dry, it should look good as new!
