The first step to removing pet stains from your sunglasses is to identify the type of stain that’s on them. Stains can come in many forms, such as saliva, fur, drool, and more. Depending on the type of stain, you may need to use a different approach to cleaning it.
Once you’ve identified the stain, the next step is to gently blot the area with a clean, dry cloth. Be sure to dab the stain rather than rub it, as rubbing can cause the stain to spread and mark up the lenses further.
Next, you’ll want to use a glass cleaner to help remove stain. Spray the cleaner directly on the affected area, and then use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe away the stain. Be sure to follow the instructions on cleaner label for best results.
After using the glass cleaner, you’ll want to rinse the area with water to ensure that there is no lingering residue left behind. This can be done with either a damp cloth or by running the lenses under cool water. Once again, be sure to pat area dry with a lint-free cloth.
Finally, you’ll want to make sure that your lenses are completely dry before polishing them with a soft cloth. This will help restore the shine to your lenses and bring them back to their original look.
Removing pet stains from sunglasses doesn’t have to be a difficult task. Just follow steps outlined above and you’ll soon be free of those pesky stains. Happy cleaning!
