The first step to getting rid of pet stains from scarves is to soak the material in a bowl of warm water with a mild detergent for about 30 minutes. This will help to break down the stain and make it easier to remove.
Once you’ve allowed the scarf to soak, use a soft brush to gently scrub away any remaining stain or marks. Make sure you do this carefully to avoid damaging the fabric of the scarf.
When you’ve finished scrubbing the scarf, rinse it in cold water to get rid of any remaining dirt or residue. You can also use a mild detergent during this step if you need an extra boost of cleaning power.
Hang the scarf outdoors if possible to air-dry. This will help to keep scarf from becoming too damaged due to being wrung out with a towel.
Enzyme cleaners are specially formulated to help break down pet stains and odors. These can be found at most stores that sell pet supplies. Apply a generous amount of the cleaner to stained area and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing.
Once the enzyme cleaner has been applied, the scarf should be washed in cold water, either in washing machine or by hand. Make sure to use a mild detergent and no fabric softener.
Once the scarf is washed, hang it outdoors to air-dry. Avoid using a clothes dryer as this can cause further damage to the fabric.
Once the scarf is completely dry, it is ready to be worn again. With these easy steps, you’ll be able to remove pet stains from scarves with ease.
