What You'll Need

  • Mild detergent
  • Soft cloth
  • White vinegar
  • Distilled water

Step 1: Removing Fresh Stains

If the stain is fresh, start by dabbing at it with a clean, soft cloth lightly soaked in lukewarm water. Don't rub the stain as this will only spread it further.

Once you have blotted the stain, add a small amount of mild detergent to area. Gently massage detergent into the fabric and let sit for a few minutes. Then rinse the area with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

Step 2: Getting Rid of Old Stains

For old stains, make a cleaning solution by combining equal parts of white vinegar and distilled water in a bowl. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and then gently blot the stained area. Let the solution sit on the fabric for up to 30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a soft cloth.

Step 3: Finishing Up

Once you have removed the stain, hang the fabric out to air-dry, taking care not to expose it to direct sunlight as this may cause fading.

When fabric has completely dried, check the area for any remaining residue. If there are still traces of the stain, repeat steps one and two until the stain has vanished.

Conclusion

Removing pet stains from your Rosepoint lace doesn't have to be complicated. With just a few simple steps, you can restore your fabric to its former glory in no time.
