The first step in cleaning pet stains off pots and pans is to scrape off any excess debris. Gently use a plastic scraper to remove any solids that may have been left behind by your pet. Take care not to scratch the surface of the pot or pan. After scraping away as much as possible, fill the pot or pan with warm water.

To clean a stainless steel pot or pan, add a few drops of mild dish detergent to the water and stir. For tougher stains, a teaspoon of baking soda can be added for extra cleaning power. Let the solution sit for at least 10 minutes before scrubbing with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.

If you have an enamel-coated pot or pan, mix a few drops of dish detergent with baking soda and white vinegar. This solution will help lift stuck-on stains. Dip a non-abrasive sponge into the solution, then scrub the stained area gently. If the stain still won’t come out, spread a thick layer of the paste over the stain and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and wipe dry.

For cast iron pots and pans, use hot water, dish soap, and a stiff brush to clean off the stain. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as this could cause scratches in the surface of the pot or pan.

Finally, use a clean cloth to dry pot or pan completely. This will help prevent rust spots or other discoloration.

With these simple steps, you can easily remove pet stains from your pots and pans without using harsh or abrasive cleaners.
