If you can, attend to the mess as soon as possible. The longer the stain sits, the harder it is to remove. Blot as much of mess as you can with a microfiber cloth or a paper towel.
Mix one part vinegar with one part water and spray onto the stained area. Then, sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the top. Let the mixture sit for at least 10 minutes before moving onto the next step.
Lightly dampen a cloth and wipe away the lingering baking soda. If you still see remnants of the stain, try dabbing area with a warm, wet cloth and a mild soap. Be sure to use very light pressure so you don’t cause any damage.
Once you’re finished, let the area air dry completely. Do not force the drying process with harsh chemicals or other solvents.
