  3. Dip a clean towel in cleaning solution, wring it out and dab the stain with the solution.
  4. Let the solution sit on the stain for several minutes.
  5. Rinse the affected area with cold water and then let it air dry.
  6. Once shoe is completely dry, sprinkle baking soda over it to help absorb any remaining moisture.
  7. Finally, mix one part vinegar with three parts warm water in a bowl, dip a cloth into the mixture and proceed to lightly scrub the stained area.

Additional Tips

  • Avoid using a scrub brush or anything abrasive when cleaning the Nikes since it could cause further damage.
  • Once you’ve cleaned the stained area, prevent the stain from returning by sprinkling baking soda or talcum powder once or twice a day.
  • When needed, repeat the cleaning process until the stain is gone.
