Before you begin stain removal, it’s important that you gather the right supplies. You’ll need:
Before you begin cleaning, it’s important that you test your chosen stain remover in an inconspicuous spot on the macramé. If it does not discolor the fabric, move on to the next step.
To remove pet stain from macramé, mix equal parts baking soda and white or apple cider vinegar together to create a paste. This paste will help to loosen the stain.
Using a sponge, gently rub paste onto the stained area of macramé. Allow the paste to sit for 15 minutes before proceeding.
Using warm water and a soft cloth, rinse off the paste. If the stain is still visible, repeat the process until the stain disappears.
Once you’ve successfully removed the stain from the macramé, it’s important that you let it dry completely before using it. Doing this will help to ensure that the stain does not return.
