1. Quickly Blot Up the Excess Liquid

When you notice the mess, take a soft cloth and blot up as much of the liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing stain and do not scrub it into the fabric.

2. Soak the Stain

Mix a solution of 1/4 teaspoon mild detergent and one cup cold water. Soak the affected area in the solution, making sure to keep it away from the heat of dryer or iron. Leave the garment to soak for about 30 minutes, then rinse away the stain with cold water. Rub fabric gently together to help remove the stain.

3. Blind Dry

Gently pull out the extra moisture from the fabric. Do this by pushing or dabbing it between two paper towels or white rags. This helps to reduce the amount of time stain will take to dry and prevents the stain from becoming set on the fabric.

4. Apply a Stain Remover

Opt for a natural stain remover and work it into the affected area using a soft brush or sponge. Follow the instructions on the product and leave it to sit for 10 minutes. Rinse away the cleaner and continue blotting until the stain is gone.

5. Rinse with Vinegar and Water

After blotting up the stain remover, mix up a solution of one part vinegar and three parts water. Soak the affected area in the solution for 10-15 minutes, then gently blot with a clean white cloth. Rinse away the vinegar and follow up with another cold water rinse.

6. Sun Dry

Once you’ve finished washing and rinsing, hang the garment outside or place it in direct sunlight on a clothesline. This will help to speed up the drying process and make sure the stain does not remain on the fabric.

7. If Necessary Use an Iron

If the stain has still not completely disappeared, try pressing it with an iron. Place a clean, damp cloth over the stain, then press the area with a warm iron. Check the cloth often to make sure the stain is not setting in the fabric.

Conclusion

Cleaning pet stains from leggings can be a tricky business. But by following these tips, you’ll increase your chances of successfully removing the stain and restoring your leggings to their original condition. Good luck!
