- Start by blotting the area with a clean towel or napkin. The key is to absorb as much of the liquid as possible before it has a chance to sink into fabric. Be sure to blot, not scrub.
- Mix a homemade solution of one part white vinegar to one part warm water. Spray the solution onto the stain.
- Using a clean sponge or cloth, gently blot stain with the solution. Don’t be too rough, or you could make the stain worse.
- If necessary, you can make a slightly stronger solution using 1 teaspoon of dish soap and one cup of warm water.
- Once you have applied the solution, blot area with a dry paper towel or white cloth to absorb any lingering moisture.
- Let area dry completely.
- If the stain persists, repeat the above steps until stain has been eliminated.
Cleaning pet stains from Dobby fabric is an easy process that can be done at home. It may take several tries to completely remove the stain, but with a little effort, your fabric should be looking like new in no time.
