Before tackling the stain, it’s important to run the crop top through a laundry cycle without any detergent or additives. This helps to pre-treat the fabric and prevents the stain from setting in.
Mix one tablespoon of liquid dish soap with two cups of cool water in a bowl. Dip a clean rag into mixture and dab it over the stain. Re-wet the rag as necessary. Be sure not to rub stain away, as this could cause more damage to the fabric.
Once the stain has been spot-cleaned, rinse the garment thoroughly with cool water. If the stain still persists, repeat spot-cleaning process and rinse again.
Allow the crop top to air dry. Never put a garment with a pet stain in the dryer as this can set the stain in place.
To neutralize pet odors, sprinkle some baking soda over the stain and leave it to sit for an hour. Then, brush away the baking soda and launder the garment as normal.
Keep your crop tops free of pet stains by spraying them with a pet repellent solution regularly. You should also ensure that your furry friends are bathed and groomed on a regular basis to reduce pet odors and staining potential.
