The most important step in preventing pet stains on crepe fabric is to act quickly when they happen. As soon as you notice the stain, soak up as much of it as you can with a paper towel, tissue or cloth. Do not rub the area as this may spread the stain farther and deeper into the fabric.
Once the excess liquid has been blotted up, make a cleaning solution that's safe for crepe. Mix one part white vinegar with one part warm water and apply it to the stain using a soft cloth. Gently work the solution into the stain and then blot it up with a clean cloth or paper towel.
If the stain is still visible, apply a small amount of mild detergent onto affected area and then rinse with clean water. Blot the excess water away with a dry cloth, and then repeat the process if needed. Once the stain is gone, let the fabric dry naturally.
Another method that can help dissolve pet stains is to use a hair dryer. Set the dryer on a low heat setting and hold nozzle close to the fabric. Be sure to keep the dryer in motion to avoid damaging the fabric. As heat from the dryer comes in contact with the stain, it will begin to dissolve. Once the stain is gone, rinse the fabric with cool water.
When it comes to cleaning pet stains from crepe fabric, prevention is key. Regular vacuuming and spot cleaning will help keep your fabric looking like new for years to come. Also, try to keep pet beds and fur-covered items away from the crepe fabric to avoid absorbing fur, dander, and odors. If fabric is removable from the furniture, take it off and wash it in cold water every few weeks.
